Mention the conflict between science and the Bible and thoughts usually go to the evolution vs. creation debate. But potentially far more serious is the area of conservation of the environment.
Conservation Biology, one of the discipline’s most prestigious journals, was the locus of a debate in 2005 on the role of evangelical theology and its political allies in frustrating urgently needed measures to address problems of species extinction, resource exploitation and climate change.
